Mark Dwayne here from markdwayne.com. This is a training that I'm doing to show you how to create short videos for YouTube specifically for affiliate marketing. There are many different niches and styles of short videos, but I use them primarily for affiliate marketing. I record videos using my mobile phone, edit them on my PC, and then upload them. While some individuals might prefer to do everything on their mobile phone using various apps, I find my method efficient and straightforward. Though I could generate three or four videos a day, I've found that more frequent uploads tend to garner fewer views.
The first step is deciding on your niche and goals. My niche is affiliate marketing, and my objectives are to attract more views to my YouTube channel, direct viewers to my long-form content, and grow my email list for remarketing purposes. Shorts videos can significantly boost your views if timed correctly, making them a powerful tool for audience growth.
To get started, you'll need a mobile phone and a mobile phone holder. I’ll show you where to get these tools and provide links in the video description. For instance, I use a mobile phone holder I purchased on Amazon for around $16. Another essential tool for transcription is a program called Rocket Clips, which I highly recommend. It’s currently on launch, so I suggest getting it before the launch period ends to take advantage of unlimited transcription time.
You'll also need video editing software. I use Corel Video Studio 2023, which costs around $63. Although there are other options like Camtasia, which is highly regarded but expensive, you can also find free versions online. For this demonstration, I'll use Corel Video Studio.
Once you have your tools ready, the next step is to outline your content. For example, my video might be titled "Nine Tips to Get Started with Affiliate Marketing for Beginners," and I would prepare a detailed outline of tips to cover. Using my mobile phone, I record each tip line by line, and then I take these recordings to my editing software.
In Corel Video Studio, upload your recorded clips from your mobile phone. Insert each clip into the timeline and arrange them in sequence. Decide what your video's goal is—whether it's growing your YouTube channel, directing viewers to a blog post, or an opt-in form. Ensure your video is succinct, under 60 seconds, to qualify as a short. Edit it down if necessary and consider adding transitions like fade-ins and fade-outs for a polished look.
For transcription, I use Rocket Clips AI. This tool adds subtitles to your video, making it more engaging and accessible. Upload your edited video to Rocket Clips AI, choose your transcription style, and make any necessary adjustments to the text layout. This software is reasonably priced compared to others and offers great value, especially if you opt for the unlimited version.
Once your video is edited and transcribed, export it and save it with a relevant name. Upload your video to YouTube, and make sure to fill in all necessary details, including selecting the appropriate category (e.g., "How-to & Style"). You can also add related videos, which are particularly useful for desktop viewers.
Creating YouTube shorts for affiliate marketing is an efficient way to grow your audience and expand your reach. Shorts videos are currently very popular and can drive significant traffic to your channel. By consistently producing high-quality shorts, you can establish yourself as an expert in your field and achieve your marketing goals.
